Weight can fluctuate in the short term (eg whether you are well hydrated or not), which makes frequent weighing yourself superfluous, but is it really useful to weigh yourself at all? At LauGau Nutrition, we believe that the majority of the time, no.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cf7819d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cf7819d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBefore continuing, it is important to state that there are some valid reasons why your doctor or nutritionist should know your weight, for example:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c440a53 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c440a53\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong style=\"color: #000;\">Medication<\/strong>: The dose of <u>certain<\/u> medications should be adjusted according to weight.<\/li><li><strong style=\"color: #000;\">Growth<\/strong>: The growth chart is used to track our weight and height as we grow. If a child or teen suddenly moves off their curve, it could indicate a problem, such as an eating disorder.<\/li><li><strong style=\"color: #000;\">Medical condition<\/strong>: A rapid and involuntary change in weight may indicate a condition requiring medical investigation.<\/li><li><strong style=\"color: #000;\">Treatment of an eating disorder<\/strong>: For a person who has lost weight due to an eating disorder, weight is one of the measures to assess the severity , as well as progress towards recovery.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c65dbf1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c65dbf1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNow here is a list of items that are not determined by the number on the scale:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85f9656 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"85f9656\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Physical and psychological health\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e4bd2d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1e4bd2d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWeight does not determine a person&#8217;s physical or psychological health. Focusing on the number can add a lot of pressure to achieve a measurable (to the nearest pound!) and difficult to achieve ideal, in addition to causing guilt and frustration.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22a2742 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22a2742\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAlso, although a person may initially want to lose weight, getting there rarely results in better body satisfaction. So, no matter what our body weight or appearance, we would benefit from working to improve our body image and satisfaction regardless of the number on the scale.
