At LauGau Nutrition, we’re aware of the impact of the words used in your environment on the perception of your body image.
Does that ring a bell?
- I don’t know how to react to comments about my weight or body shape, and it makes me feel powerless.
- I feel stressed when I see acquaintances I haven’t seen for a long time, because I’m afraid of being judged on my appearance.
- I become aware that comments about my body received in the past can still have a negative impact on the perception of my current body image.
Topics covered:
– Share (if you wish) experiences and comments about weight and/or appearance.
– Discussion on how to respond to grossophobic comments in general, from family, workplace and friends.
Format:
70 (taxes included) per person online via the Zoom platform.
Tuesday, February 17 (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm) and Tuesday, April 14 (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm)

Hello! My name is Maude Martinez, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the Université de Montréal. I have been working as a nutritionist at LauGau Nutrition since 2021.
Drawing on my professional background in teaching and communications, I enjoy taking on a wide variety of responsibilities in my work. I find just as much fulfillment in providing one-on-one support to clients as I do in leading lectures and group courses. I take a gentle, warm, and dynamic approach, considering each person as a whole in order to support them in achieving their goals—whether that involves recovery from an eating disorder or improving lifestyle habits.
I am particularly interested in the impact of weight stigma (fatphobia) and neurodivergence on eating behaviors and one’s relationship with food. Since 2024, I have been involved with Arrimage, an organization dedicated to promoting body acceptance and diversity, where I serve as a board member and occasional speaker. Creating safe and inclusive spaces for everyone is deeply important to me.
