Fatphobia – Non-Inclusive Environments and Activities

70$
At LauGau Nutrition, we are aware that grossophobia, or weight discrimination, creates non-inclusive environments for fat people. These environments, whether physical or social, can be marked by physical barriers, stigmatizing attitudes, and a lack of representation in the media and culture.

Does that ring a bell?

  1. Avoid places that are not suitable for your weight
  2. You experience stigmatization, isolation or general psychological distress related to non-inclusive environments.

Topics covered:

– Discussion of the challenges associated with non-inclusive environments and activities
– Proposals for inclusive venues

Format:

70 (incl. tax) per person online via the Zoom platform.
Tuesday March 31 (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm) and Tuesday May 26 (6:00 pm to 7:30 pm)
6people.
A receipt will be given at the end of each workshop so that you can file a claim with your private insurance company or for income tax purposes.

Bonjour ! My name is Maude Martinez and I have a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from
Université de Montréal. I have been working as a nutritionist at LauGau Nutrition since
2021.

Following my professional experience in teaching and communications,
I like to take on a variety of tasks in my work. I enjoy guiding my
clients individually as much as giving lectures and group courses. I have a
a gentle, warm and dynamic approach in which I take into account the individual
as a whole in order to support him/her in his/her goal, from recovery from an eating disorder
to improving lifestyle habits. I’m interested in
in particular to the impact of grossophobia and neurodivergence on
people’s eating and relationship with food. Since 2024, I’ve been involved with Arrimage, an organization whose mission is to promote body acceptance and diversity, as a board member and occasional speaker. It’s important to me to create safe and inclusive places for everyone.
