Aging Without Filters: Ending the War on Body Image and the Body

70$
Are you tired of feeling betrayed by the mirror?
You fight against the unrealistic expectations of a society that demands you stay young, look perfect and eat according to the rules…and you lose. It’s a never-ending battle that nobody wins.
Learn to love your body not in spite of its changes, but for what it allows you to be and do today.
Stop wasting energy hiding and join us to live free and unfiltered!

Does that ring a bell?

  1. Aging (menopause or andropause) leads you to experience bodily changes and dissatisfaction with them?
  2. As you age, do you find yourself under enormous pressure to achieve or maintain the beauty ideal advocated by society?
  3. Is your diet becoming a burden?
  4. Would you like to learn how to value your mental and physical health above your appearance?

Topics covered:

– Deconstructing the myths and marketing pressures that make us fight our own bodies as we age
– Learning to navigate in a digital environment obsessed with perfection and filters
– The impact of body shame on mental health
– Redefining acceptance as an act of strength and freedom, not surrender

Laurence Gauvin

Nutritionist, Expert in Eating Disorders in Adults and Adolescents

Hello, my name is Laurence Gauvin, and I am the founder and director of the LauGau Nutrition – Eating Disorders – Anti-Diet clinic. I hold a bachelor’s degree and a professional master’s degree in nutrition from the Université de Montréal, and I have 15 years of experience in nutritional counseling.

Having worked as a professional model for the Specs and Ema agencies during my studies, my master’s work focused on the Quebec Charter for a Healthy and Diverse Body Image, in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (INSPQ). Through this experience, I was able to deepen my knowledge of the impact that the media and the fashion industry can have on excessive weight concerns among women. I also studied the factors contributing to today’s thinness ideal, issues related to body dissatisfaction, as well as the social context of anorexia and bulimia.

After earning my degree, my passion for the treatment of eating disorders led me to work in private practice with adolescents and adults living with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. To further expand my expertise, I completed several specialized training programs focused on disordered eating behaviors and their treatment. I also completed an internship in the eating disorders unit at Sainte-Justine Hospital and facilitated discussion groups on a volunteer basis with Aneb Québec.

Always staying up to date with the latest research in nutrition and driven by a strong interest in making information accessible, I give lectures to healthcare professionals and supervise nutritionists working in the field of eating disorders. I also enjoy hosting radio segments and providing nutritional advice at public events.
